Los Angeles Tribal is an association of dealers specializing in the tribal arts of Asia, Africa, Oceania, and the Americas. Founded in 2001 as Asian & Tribal Art-Los Angeles (ATA-LA), the membership and focus has gone through several evolutionary changes. In 2005 the current membership agreed to emphasize its tribal arts base and the name was officially changed to Los Angeles Tribal. The association’s primary goals have not changed and Los Angeles Tribal continues to advocate co-operation within the Los Angeles area art community, to promote related events, to provide resource/contact information, and to assure buying confidence for tribal art collectors.

The members of Los Angeles Tribal are dedicated to offering for sale only the highest quality, authentic tribal art and artifacts. As experts in our respective fields, we are able to stand behind the quality and authenticity of everything we sell. We are the best local sources for exceptional ancient and antique works, including wood and stone sculptures, pottery, bronzes, masks, textiles, beadwork, basketry, jewelry, and architectural pieces.

The combined experience of Los Angeles Tribal’s current members includes extensive buying, selling, and researching non-European art, both at home and in the objects’ countries of origin. We are internationally recognized as reputable dealers who actively participate in the worldwide tribal art markets. Los Angeles Tribal also cooperates with, and supports, the various area museums, institutions, and organizations that form the backbone of the tribal art community in Los Angeles.

The purpose of the Los Angeles Tribal website is to provide complete contact and location information for all current members, as well as their areas of specializations and qualifications. In addition, the website provides research and reference sources, spotlights on local collections, and information about special events in Los Angeles.
